Sec. 16.

A person shall not manufacture a badge or shield which purports to indicate that the holder is a licensed alarm system contractor, alarm system agent, private security guard or agency, or any of those persons as listed, in section 2. A person shall not display for sale a badge, shield, identification card, or certificate of license, by which the holder might mislead the public into thinking that the holder is a licensed alarm system contractor, alarm system agent, or private security guard, or agency. A person, firm, company, partnership, or corporation shall not distribute an identification card or certificate of license in this state except as provided by this act. A person shall not knowingly buy or receive from a source a form of spurious identification as an alarm system contractor, alarm system agent, or a private security guard or agency. A violation of this section is a misdemeanor, and an unauthorized identification card or certificate of license shall be confiscated by a law enforcement officer of the state. Each day the violation continues shall constitute a separate offense.
