Sec. 20121.

The health facilities and agencies advisory commission is created in the department. The governor shall appoint the members with the advice and consent of the senate. Half the members shall be consumers and half the members shall be representative of different types of licensees, with at least 1 representative of each type. Membership shall include at least 1 practicing physician, 1 registered nurse, and 1 enrollee of a health maintenance organization who is a consumer of health care. The director shall serve as an ex officio member of the advisory commission without vote.
