§11952. Unlawful harvest of wild rabbits or hares

1.  Prohibition.  A person may not:  

A. Set or use any snare, trap or other device in the hunting of wild hares or rabbits, except that trappers may take wild hares or rabbits by box traps solely for the purpose of selling them to the commissioner as authorized by this Title; or   [PL 2003, c. 414, Pt. B. Hunt wild hares or rabbits in any manner except by the ordinary method of shooting with guns or shooting with a long bow and arrow or by falconry.   [PL 2003, c. 414, Pt. A, §2 (NEW); PL 2003, c. 614, §9 (AFF).]

2.  Penalty.  A person who violates subsection 1 commits a Class E crime.
