§10553. Jurisdiction

The District Court has concurrent jurisdiction with the Superior Court in all criminal prosecutions under this Part. The District Court has jurisdiction in all civil prosecutions under this Part. Any person arrested or summonsed as a violator of this Part must with reasonable diligence be taken before the District Court in the division nearest to where the offense is alleged to have been committed for prosecution, and in such case jurisdiction is granted to the District Court in adjoining divisions to be exercised in the same manner as if the offense had been committed in that division.   [PL 2003, c. 614, §9 (AFF); PL 2003, c. 688, Pt.
