RS 54 - License requirements; enforcement by wildlife agents; arrest without warrant

A. Wildlife enforcement agents of the enforcement division shall see that every person dealing in any way in any of the wildlife, fish, and game of the state in the territory assigned to him for which a license must be obtained, has in his possession, and is the owner of, an official license, and is in compliance with the laws, rules, and regulations under the jurisdiction of the department.

B. The secretary, deputy secretary, commissioned wildlife enforcement agents, any of the various sheriffs, deputy sheriffs, constables, deputy constables, marshals, and other police officers of this state may, without a warrant, arrest any person violating any of the laws or regulations under the jurisdiction of the department, or any other law of this state, and may immediately take such person in custody for examination or trial before any officer or court of competent jurisdiction of this state or of the United States, and may serve and execute any warrant or other process issued by any officer or court of competent jurisdiction of this state for the enforcement of such laws and regulations.
