40-2510. Same; violations of act; penalties; prosecution.
Every person violating any of the provisions of this act shall upon conviction thereof be fined not more than five hundred dollars ($500) for each violation or be imprisoned for not more than six (6) months in the county jail or be both so fined and imprisoned. If the commissioner has reason to believe that any person has violated any provision of this act for which criminal prosecution would be in order, he may so inform the county attorney in whose county any such purported violation may have occurred, who shall have the duty to prosecute the case, if, in his judgment, a violation of law has occurred.
