25-3104. Time of canvass of elections by county board; notice.
The original canvass of every election shall be performed by the election boards at the voting places. The county election officer shall present the original returns, together with the ballots, books and any other records of the election, for the purpose of canvass, to the county board of canvassers at any time between 8 a.m. and 10 a.m. on the Monday next following any election held on a Tuesday, except that the county election officer may move the canvass to any business day not later than 13 days following any election. Notice of the time and place of the canvass shall be published in a newspaper of general circulation in the county prior to the canvass. For elections not held on a Tuesday, the canvass by the county board of canvassers shall be held on a day and hour designated by it, and not later than the 13th day following the day of such election.
