24-463. Enlargement of district; petition.
Subject to the provisions of K.S.A. 19-270, whenever any drainage district heretofore organized and incorporated or which may hereafter be organized and incorporated in this state under the provisions of this act and of chapter 215 of the Laws of 1905, to which this act is supplemental, shall present a petition to the board of county commissioners of the county in which the greater portion of the territory of the original drainage district is situated, asking for the enlargement of its boundaries and the extension of the territorial limits of its district to include land or lands outside the original limits of the drainage district, such board of county commissioners shall investigate such petition and ascertain whether it is in conformity with the provisions of this act.
