24-457. Liability for damages for injury.
That in addition to the penalties provided in the preceding section, the person so wrongfully or purposely filling up, cutting, injuring, destroying or impairing the usefulness of any drain, levee or other work shall be liable to the drainage district for all damages occasioned to such work and for the full cost of repairing the same, and shall also be liable to the owners and occupants of land for all damages that may result to them by such wrongful act.
