12-631g. Sewage service charges by cities and township districts; exceptions.
The governing body of any city or any township sewer district which has installed or may hereafter install a system of sewage disposal may, by ordinance of such city or by the resolution of the governing body of such township sewer district, establish just and equitable rates of service charges to be paid to such city, or to such township sewer district, for the use of such sewage disposal system by all persons, firms, corporations, city departments, the United States, the state of Kansas and its political subdivisions, and any organizations whose premises are connected or may hereafter be connected to the sanitary sewer system of such city or of such township sewer district: Provided, That the provisions of this act shall not apply to any city of the first class having a population of more than two hundred thousand (200,000).
