Sec. 2.5. (a) The state department shall adopt emergency rules in the manner provided under IC 4-22-2-37.1 to amend provisions in 410 IAC 5.1 that concern the following:
(1) The certification and standards requirements recommended by the federal Environmental Protection Agency applicable to:
(A) radon testing;
(B) radon mitigation; and
(C) laboratory analysis.
(2) Revisions and updates to the administrative rule's definitions and exclusions.
(b) Before December 31, 2021, the state department shall adopt rules under IC 4-22-2 to amend provisions in 410 IAC 5.1 that concern the following:
(1) The certification and standards requirements recommended by the federal Environmental Protection Agency applicable to:
(A) radon testing;
(B) radon mitigation; and
(C) laboratory analysis.
(2) Revisions and updates to the administrative rule's definitions and exclusions.
(c) This section expires July 1, 2022.
