The provisions of this part shall not apply to Part 2 of this article relating to manufactured homes.

OPINIONS OF THE ATTORNEY GENERAL

Federal preemption.

- National Manufactured Housing Construction and Safety Standards Act of 1974, 42 U.S.C. § 5401 et seq., does not preempt O.C.G.A. § 8-2-1 et seq., but may preempt certain other portions of the Georgia statute dealing with factory built buildings and dwelling units, O.C.G.A. § 8-2-130 et seq. 1984 Op. Att'y Gen. No. 84-4.
