Bond to Be Recorded and Filed

The bond of the state treasurer, when duly executed and approved, shall be recorded in the Secretary of State's office and filed in the office of the Governor.

The 2011 amendment, effective January 1, 2013, deleted the former second sentence of this Code section, which read: "A copy of the bond, when certified by one of the Governor's secretaries under the seal of the office of the Governor, or a certified copy taken from the records of the Secretary of State's office shall be received in evidence in any court in lieu of the original." - Ga. L. 2011, p. 99, § 101/HB 24, not codified by the General Assembly, provides that the amendment of this Code section by that Act shall apply to any motion made or hearing or trial commenced on or after January 1, 2013.
