- Exceptions to Licensing Requirements
            
 -  The licensing provisions of this chapter shall not apply to any transient merchant engaged in business solely within a county which does not require the issuance of business licenses. 
-  The licensing provisions of this chapter shall not apply to any transient merchant engaged in business solely within the corporate limits of a municipality when:  -  Such municipality requires a transient business license; and 
-  Said transient merchant has such license.

 OPINIONS OF THE ATTORNEY GENERAL 
 Legislative intent. 
 - Legislature did not intend to require counties which do not issue business licenses to issue licenses to transient merchants. 1980 Op. Att'y Gen. No. U80-26. 
  Transient merchant who engages in business in more than one county  is not required to obtain a business license from any county in which the merchant does business but which does not require the issuance of business licenses. 1980 Op. Att'y Gen. No U80-26.
