Visual Inspections; Assumption of Risk

  1. Any competitor may, before the start of any formal or sanctioned skiing competition, make a visual inspection of the designated course where the competition is to be held.
  2. Competitors shall be held to accept any and all risks of injury or death that result from course conditions, including, but not limited to, those inherent dangers and risks of skiing as defined in this chapter, as well as existing weather or snow conditions; course design, construction, or layout; or obstacles that a visual inspection prior to any training for or the start of the actual competitive event would have revealed.
