 -  As a prerequisite for the renewal of a dispenser's license on or before December 31, 2015, the individual must provide proof to the board that such individual has successfully completed 14 hours of continuing education in a program approved by the board. 
  -  As a prerequisite for the renewal of a dispenser's license on or after January 1, 2016, the individual must provide proof to the board that such individual has successfully completed 20 hours of continuing education in a program approved by the board. 
  -  The board may promulgate such rules and regulations as are necessary to implement the continuing education requirement.

  The 2015 amendment,  effective July 1, 2015, substituted the present provisions of this Code section for the former provisions, which read: "As a prerequisite for the renewal of a dispenser's license, the dispenser must provide proof to the board that the dispenser has successfully completed 14 hours of continuing education in a program approved by the board. The board may promulgate such rules and regulations as are necessary to implement the continuing education requirement."
