  1. A towing and storage firm, repair facility, or salvage dealer shall allow an owner of a vehicle to retrieve any personal property within a stored vehicle for up to 30 days from the date which notice was sent pursuant to Code Section 40-11-19.
  2. Any personal property left in a vehicle after 30 days from the date on which notice was sent pursuant to Code Section 40-11-19 shall be considered abandoned.
  3. For purposes of this Code section, the term "personal property" shall not include any items attached or affixed to the motor vehicle.

The 2020 amendment, effective July 29, 2020, part of an Act to revise, modernize, and correct the Code, substituted "on which" for "which" in subsection (b); and revised capitalization in subsection (c).
