Fines for Contempt; Methods of Collection and Payment

  1. Fines collected as a result of being found in contempt shall be collected in the following manner:
    1. By cash or money order;
    2. By retention of any pay or allowances due or to become due to the person fined from another state or the United States; or
    3. By garnishment or levy, together with costs, on the wages, goods, and chattels of a person delinquent in paying a fine, as provided by law.
  2. Any sum so received or retained shall be deposited in the military justice fund as provided in Code Section 38-2-170.
