The commissioner is authorized, with the approval of the board, to provide comfortable barracks and quarters for the officers and troopers of the Uniform Division.

Per diem received in addition to expenses when on duty away from district or division.
- Officers and troopers should receive a per diem allowance in addition to the officers' actual expenses for meals and lodging when on duty away from the district or division to which the officers are assigned. 1948-49 Op. Att'y Gen. p. 396.
