General Provisions
- Applicability
The proceedings authorized by this chapter may be applied to:
- All insurers who are doing or have done an insurance business in this state and against whom claims may arise from such business;
- All insurers who purport to do an insurance business in this state;
- All insurers who have insureds resident in this state;
- All other persons organized or in the process of organizing with the intent to do an insurance business in this state;
- All nonprofit service plans and all fraternal benefit societies;
- All title insurance companies; and
- All prepaid health care delivery plans, health care plans, and health maintenance organizations.

The 2019 amendment, effective July 1, 2019, substituted "claims may arise from such business" for "claims arising from that business may exist now or in the future" at the end of paragraph (1).
