OPINIONS OF THE ATTORNEY GENERAL
Industries are department of state and subject to Workers' Compensation Act.
- It is clear that the factory (now industries) is a department of the State of Georgia, and subject to provisions of the Workers' Compensation Act, (see now O.C.G.A. Ch. 9, T. 34). 1948-49 Op. Att'y Gen. p. 723.
Industries excluded from provisions of Fair Labor Standards Act.- The factory (now industries) designated by and made a state institution by the General Assembly of Georgia is excluded from provisions of the federal Fair Labor Standards Act, 29 U.S.C. § 201 et seq. 1948-49 Op. Att'y Gen. p. 723.
