- Form of Price Quotation Where Weight Is Used to Determine Board Feet, Cords, or Units of Pulpwood or Timber
- Any person using weight as a basis to determine board feet, cords, or units of pulpwood or timber who buys or offers to buy any pulpwood or timber within this state shall provide the seller or prospective seller of such pulpwood or timber with a quotation of the price of such pulpwood or timber calculated in dollars per 1000 pounds. This Code section shall not prohibit or restrict the use of any acceptable method to calculate the weight or quantity of pulpwood or timber. This Code section shall not be construed as requiring the purchase or use of scales for the purpose of measuring wood, nor shall it be construed as altering the common trade definition of a cord as being equivalent to 128 cubic feet.
- Any person who violates any provision of this Code section shall be guilty of a misdemeanor.
