Chairman; Reimbursement of Members for Expenses; Meetings

  1. The commission shall elect a chairman annually.
  2. The members of the commission, including the chairman, shall receive such per diem subsistence allowances for each day of actual attendance at the meetings of the commission, as well as mileage to and from the place of meeting and their respective homes by the nearest practical route, as may be authorized by the commission. The per diem and mileage allowances received shall not exceed those authorized by law for other state commissions and boards. Such per diem and travel expense shall be paid from funds of the commission.
  3. The commission shall meet at such times at the state capitol or at other points as it may determine, and it shall convene in all sessions upon call by the chairman or by a majority of the members of the commission.
