Not later than January 1, 2021, and annually thereafter, the council shall submit an annual report, in accordance with the provisions of section 11-4a, to the Governor and the joint standing committees of the General Assembly having cognizance of matters relating to the judiciary and public safety which shall include pertinent data regarding (1) the comprehensive municipal police training plan, (2) the recruitment, retention and promotion of minority police officers, and (3) an accounting of all grants, contributions, gifts, donations or other financial assistance.

History: P.A. 82-357 broadened the scope of the annual report to include accounting of grants, contributions and other financial assistance; July Sp. Sess. P.A. 20-1 added requirement that annual report be submitted not later than January 1, 2021, and annually thereafter, added provisions that report be submitted in accordance with Sec. 11-4a and to the joint standing committees of the General Assembly having cognizance of matters relating to the judiciary and public safety, added provision that annual report shall include data on the recruitment, retention and promotion of minority police officers and made technical changes, effective July 31, 2020.
