The Department of Aging and Disability Services is empowered to receive any federal funds made available to this state under which vocational rehabilitation is provided for a person whose visual acuity has been impaired and to expend such funds for the purpose or purposes for which they are made available. The State Treasurer shall be the custodian of such funds.

History: 1963 act changed name of board; P.A. 11-44 replaced “Board of Education and Services for the Blind” with “Bureau of Rehabilitative Services”, effective July 1, 2011; June 12 Sp. Sess. P.A. 12-1 replaced “Bureau of Rehabilitative Services” with “Department of Rehabilitation Services”, effective July 1, 2012; P.A. 19-157 replaced “Department of Rehabilitation Services” with “Department of Aging and Disability Services”.
