(1) No miniature boiler, except those exempted by rules promulgated by the division of oil and public safety, shall be installed in this state unless it has been constructed, inspected, and stamped in conformity with the rules of construction of miniature boilers of the A.S.M.E. boiler and pressure vessel code and is registered with the national board of boiler and pressure vessel inspectors and inspected in accordance with this article.
A miniature boiler having the standard stamping of another state that has adopted astandard of construction equivalent to the standard of the state of Colorado may be accepted by the director; however, the person or firm desiring to install the boiler shall make application for the installation and shall file with this application the manufacturer's data report covering the construction of the boiler in question.
All new boiler installations and reinstalled boilers shall be installed in accordancewith the requirements of the A.S.M.E. boiler and pressure vessel code and this article.
Upon completion of the installation, all boilers shall be inspected by a state or specialboiler inspector. At the time of inspection, each boiler shall be assigned a serial number by the inspector, which serial number shall be stamped on or affixed to the boiler as provided by section 9-4-106 (3).
