(1) When complaint is made to the division by any employee against any employer for a violation of this article, all books, records, and payrolls of such employer, material and pertinent to such complaint, shall be open for inspection by the division or any of its agents duly appointed for that purpose.

(2) This section is repealed, effective January 1, 2021.
