(1) A rider of an EPAMD shall have all the same rights and duties as an operator of any other vehicle under this article, except as to those provisions that by their nature have no application.

  1. Unless prohibited under section 42-4-111 (1)(cc), an EPAMD may be operated on aroadway in conformity with vehicle use.

  2. An EPAMD shall not be operated:

  1. On a limited-access highway;

  2. On a bike or pedestrian path; or

  3. At a speed of greater than twelve and one-half miles per hour.

(4) A person who violates this section commits a class B traffic infraction.
