(1) A lease, although subject to this article, is also subject to any applicable:

  1. Certificate of title statute of this state (including vessels under article 13 of title 33,C.R.S., snowmobiles under article 14 of title 33, C.R.S., mobile homes under article 29 of title 38, C.R.S., aircraft under article 2 of title 41, C.R.S., and motor vehicles under article 6 or 12 of title 42, C.R.S.);

  2. Certificate of title statute of another jurisdiction (section 4-2.5-105); or

  3. Consumer protection statute of this state, or final consumer protection decision of acourt of this state existing on July 1, 1991.

  1. In case of conflict between this article, other than sections 4-2.5-105, 4-2.5-304 (3) and 4-2.5-305 (3), and a statute or decision referred to in subsection (1) of this section, the statute or decision controls.

  2. Failure to comply with an applicable law has only the effect specified therein.
