As used in this article, unless the context otherwise requires:
"District" means the "Southwestern Water Conservation District". The district is abody corporate and politic and a political subdivision of the state of Colorado.
"Person" means a person, firm, partnership, association, or corporation.
"Property", as used in section 37-47-109 (1), includes both real and personal property. In other parts of said article relating to special assessments, unless otherwise specified, it means real estate as "real estate" is defined by the law of the state of Colorado and embraces all railroads, tram roads, electric railroads, state and interurban railroads, highways, telephone, telegraph and transmission lines, water systems, water rights, pipelines, and rights-of-way of public service corporations, and all other real property, whether held for public or private use.
"San Juan and Dolores rivers" embraces and includes any and all tributaries or streams which flow into the San Juan and Dolores rivers which may be found in any part of the territory embraced in said district.
"Subdistrict" or "subdivision" embraces and includes the kind or character of specialimprovement districts created under the provisions of this article, including subdistricts organized under the name and style of "Water Users' Association No. ............ of the Southwestern Water Conservation District" and "Special Improvement District No. .......... of the Southwestern Water Conservation District". A subdistrict or subdivision is a body corporate and politic and a political subdivision of the state of Colorado.
