As used in this article, unless the context otherwise requires:
"Drainage assessment" means any tax, assessment, or charge levied on account of theconstruction, maintenance, and operation of the drainage project.
"Drainage district" means an organization formed under the drainage district law ofthis state.
"Drainage project" includes legally organized drainage districts and enterprises ofpersons, corporations, or associations having for their object the drainage of land.
"Treasurer" means the proper officer of the drainage project authorized to receivepayments of drainage assessments.
