Any person who makes a false or forged permit as specified in section 35-53-121 or a false or forged statement as specified in section 35-53-122, or who knowingly exhibits or causes to be exhibited to any peace officer any such false or forged permit or statement, or who, upon request of any peace officer of the state of Colorado, refuses or neglects to exhibit a permit or make a statement as provided in section 35-53-122 is guilty of a misdemeanor and, upon conviction thereof, shall be punished by a fine of not more than three hundred dollars, or by imprisonment in the county jail for not more than three months, or by both such fine and imprisonment.
