It is unlawful to manufacture or sell animal biological products as defined in section 35-51-101, except in compliance with the provisions of this article, and any person, firm, or corporation violating the provisions of this article is guilty of a misdemeanor and, upon conviction thereof, shall be punished by a fine of not less than one hundred dollars nor more than five hundred dollars, or by imprisonment in the county jail for not less than thirty days nor more than one year, or by both such fine and imprisonment.
