(1) Firefighters have the right to:

  1. Organize, form, join, or assist an employee organization or to refrain from doing so;

  2. Negotiate collectively or address grievances through representatives of their ownchoosing;

  3. Engage in other concerted activity for the purpose of collective bargaining or othermutual aid or protection, if and to the extent that the activity is not prohibited by this part 2 or any other law of Colorado;

  4. Be represented by an exclusive representative without discrimination, intimidation,or retaliation; and

  5. Fully participate in the political process of their public employers while off duty andnot in uniform, including speaking with members of the public employer's governing body and engaging in other legitimate political activities in the same manner as other citizens of Colorado without discrimination, intimidation, or retaliation.

  1. Nothing in this part 2 limits the right of a supervisor to be a member of an employeeorganization.

  2. Nothing in this part 2 applies to volunteer firefighters.
