(1) A local government may enact a law establishing a minimum wage for individuals performing work while physically within the local government's jurisdiction in accordance with section 8-6-101.

  1. As used in this section, "local government" means a:

  1. City;

  2. Home rule city;

  3. Town;

  4. Territorial charter city;

  5. City and county;

  6. County; or

  7. Home rule county.
