(1) Any person subject to this code shall be punished by confinement of not more than ten years or such other punishment as a court-martial directs if he or she:

(a) Strikes his or her superior commissioned officer or draws or lifts up any weapon or offers any violence against such officer while he or she is in the execution of his or her office; or (b) Willfully disobeys a lawful command of his or her superior commissioned officer.
