(1) A patient, spouse, or parent liable by this article who fails to pay the amounts assessed pursuant to this article shall be proceeded against in any manner authorized by law for the collection of sums due and owing to the state of Colorado.

  1. All property of persons liable pursuant to this article shall be subject to application toclaims irrespective of its origin, composition, or source subject to the exemptions set forth in section 13-54-102, C.R.S.

  2. Claims against responsible relatives in other states may be enforced as claims forsupport under the provisions of the "Uniform Interstate Family Support Act", article 5 of title 14, C.R.S.

  3. In the absence of fraud, the patient, spouse, and parents shall be liable only to theextent of assessments actually made against them respectively in accordance with this article.
