Appellate review of any order of short-term treatment or long-term care and treatment may be had as provided in the Colorado appellate rules. Such appeal shall be advanced upon the calendar of the appellate court and shall be decided at the earliest practicable time. Pending disposition by the appellate court, it may make such order as it may consider proper in the premises relating to the care and custody of the respondent.
