Any person who violates any of the provisions of this part 2 or the orders, rules, or regulations promulgated by the department under authority thereof is guilty of a misdemeanor and, upon conviction thereof, shall be punished by a fine for each offense of not more than one hundred dollars or by imprisonment in the county jail for not more than thirty days.
