(1) Any judgment against a public entity shall constitute a complete bar to any action for injury by the claimant, by reason of the same subject matter, against any public employee whose act or omission gave rise to the claim.
Any judgment against any public employee whose act or omission gave rise to theclaim shall constitute a complete bar to any action for injury by the claimant, by reason of the same subject matter, against a public entity.
Nothing contained in the provisions of this section shall be construed as preventingthe joinder of any public entity or employee of such public entity in the same action.
