As used in this article, unless the context otherwise requires:
"Board" means the board of education of a school district or the governing board orgoverning agency of a postsecondary institution.
"Board of cooperative services" or "BOCES" means a regional educational serviceunit designed to provide supporting, instructional, administrative, facility, community, or any other services contracted by participating members.
(2.3) "District charter school" means a charter school authorized by a school district board of education pursuant to part 1 of article 30.5 of this title.
(2.5) Repealed.
(2.7) "Institute charter school" means a charter school authorized by the state charter school institute pursuant to part 5 of article 30.5 of this title.
"Postsecondary institution" means a community or technical college, a local districtcollege, or a state-supported institution of higher education.
"School district" means any public school district existing pursuant to law.
"State board" means the state board of education.
