As used in this article, unless the context otherwise requires:

  1. "Able-bodied offender" means an offender in the custody of the department who is toparticipate in a work program or other productive activity authorized by this article and who is physically able to do so. The term does not include an offender who is participating in a community corrections program, who is a part of the "blind count", or who is ill or unable to participate in a work program or other productive activity.

  2. "Director" means the director of the division of correctional industries.

  3. "Division" means the division of correctional industries created in section 17-24-104.

  4. "Programs" means the correctional industries programs provided and administeredby the division but does not include educational services or other productive activities administered by the division of adult parole.
