(1) The fourth judicial district shall be composed of the counties of El Paso and Teller.

(2) (a) The number of judges for the fourth judicial district shall be fifteen.

  1. Subject to available appropriations, effective July 1, 2002, the number of judges forthe fourth judicial district shall be sixteen.

  2. Subject to available appropriations, effective July 1, 2003, the number of judges forthe fourth judicial district shall be seventeen.

  3. Subject to available appropriations, effective July 1, 2004, the number of judges forthe fourth judicial district shall be nineteen.

  4. Subject to available appropriations, effective July 1, 2008, the number of judges forthe fourth judicial district shall be twenty.

  5. Subject to available appropriations, effective July 1, 2009, the number of judges forthe fourth judicial district shall be twenty-two.

  6. Subject to available appropriations, effective July 1, 2019, the number of judges forthe fourth judicial district is twenty-three.

  7. Subject to available appropriations, effective January 1, 2020, the number of judgesfor the fourth judicial district is twenty-four.
