(1) Nothing in this part 2 authorizes a physical therapist assistant to perform any of the following acts:

  1. Practice of medicine, surgery, or any other form of healing except as authorized bythis part 2; or

  2. Use of roentgen rays and radioactive materials for therapeutic purposes, use of electricity for surgical purposes, or diagnosis of disease.

(2) A physical therapist assistant shall not practice physical therapy unless the assistant works under the supervision of a licensed physical therapist.
