(1) Nothing in this article 285 authorizes a physical therapist to perform any of the following acts:

  1. Practice of medicine, surgery, or any other form of healing except as authorized bythe provisions of this article 285; or

  2. Use of roentgen rays and radioactive materials for therapeutic purposes; the use ofelectricity for surgical purposes; or the diagnosis of disease.

(2) Nothing in this section prevents a physical therapist from making a physical therapy diagnosis within the physical therapist's scope of practice.
