(1) A board may apply for an injunction in accordance with section 12-20-406, but only to enjoin:

  1. Any person licensed, registered, or certified by that board pursuant to this article 245 from committing any act prohibited by this article 245;

  2. A licensee, registrant, or certificate holder regulated by that board from practicingthe profession for which the person is licensed, registered, or certified under this article 245 if the person has violated section 12-245-224 or 12-245-226 (2)(d).

(2) If the board demonstrates that the defendant has been or is committing any act prohibited by this article 245, the court shall enter a decree perpetually enjoining the defendant from further committing the act or from practicing any profession licensed, registered, or certified pursuant to this article 245.
