As used in this part 13, unless the context otherwise requires:
"Insurer" means every person engaged as principal, indemnitor, surety, or contractorin the business of making contracts of insurance, and any person authorized to represent an insurer with respect to a claim.
"Nonoriginal equipment replacement crash part" means a replacement crash part which is not supplied by the manufacturer of the motor vehicle on which the part is used.
"Replacement crash part" means a replacement for any of the nonmechanical sheetmetal or plastic parts which generally constitute the exterior of a motor vehicle, including inner and outer panels.
