6-1217. Appointment of deputy director as agent for service of process; forwarding of process; consent to jurisdiction

A. A licensee, an authorized delegate or a person who knowingly engages in business activities that are regulated under this chapter with or without filing an application is deemed to have done both of the following:

1. Consented to the jurisdiction of the courts of this state for all actions arising under this chapter.

2. Appointed the deputy director as the licensee's, authorized delegate's or person's lawful agent for the purpose of accepting service of process in any action, suit or proceeding that may arise under this chapter.

B. Within three business days after service of process on the deputy director, the deputy director shall transmit by certified mail copies of all lawful process accepted by the deputy director as an agent to that person at its last known address. Service of process shall be considered complete three business days after the deputy director deposits the copies of the documents in the United States mail.
