45 CFR part 75 - Uniform Administrative Requirements, Cost Principles, and Audit Requirements for HHS Awards
45 CFR part 84, Nondiscrimination on the basis of handicap in programs and activities receiving or benefiting from Federal financial assistance
45 CFR part 86, Nondiscrimination on the basis of sex in education programs and activities receiving or benefiting from Federal financial assistance
45 CFR part 91, Nondiscrimination on the basis of age in HHS programs or activities receiving Federal financial assistance
To the extent they provide special benefits to Indians, grants under this subpart are exempted from the requirements of section 601 of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 [42 U.S.C. 200d], prohibiting discrimination on the basis of race, color or national origin, by regulation at 45 CFR 80.3(d) which provides, with respect to Indian health services, that, “An individual shall not be deemed subjected to discrimination by reasons of his exclusion from the benefits of a program limited by Federal law to individuals of a particular race, color, or national origin different from his.
